In a world where Muslimahs’ are wrongly perceived as the oppressed and insignificant members of a misunderstood faith, we have embarked upon the mission to give Muslimahs an outlet to express the reality of their lifestyles, share accomplishments that benefit humanity and inspire others to do the same.
Exploring the roles of Muslimahs, discussing the struggles of the changing society as it relates to our roles, as well as addressing our daily challenges are primary focal points in our efforts towards engaging our communities. We aim to provide a platform of unity built on sisterhood; A place to share, explore and inspire many towards activism that would lead to positive change; A place that provides a sense of belonging and acceptance of ideas and aspirations that lead to enhancing the livesof all those around us.
The first year conference will delve into the concept Muslimah Empowered and what it means to be a Muslimah, in the first place. Being ME in Dallas is organised by Mercy Mission, a Muslim organisation that seeks to bring a world where every Muslim can live faithfully to their belief, building an exemplary Islamic community that benefits humanity. This year CAIR-DFW is the title sponsor for the conference.
Being ME offers lectures by prominent speakers and leaders; in-depth workshops on health, society, careers, and other pertinent issues. This conference embarks upon the mission to give all Muslim women a voice or an outlet to express the reality of their lifestyles, share accomplishments that benefit humanity and inspire others to do the same. We also provide the opportunity for all Muslim women to connect with each other so that we become pillars that support each other and the Deen.
